Legislation

Formal authority for Yukon Housing Corporation is contained in the Housing Corporation Act [ 417KB]. This Act establishes the Corporation and provides authority for the provision, development, financing and maintenance of housing.

The Housing Development Act [ 172KB] enables YHC to enter into intergovernmental agreements and establishes the Whitehorse Housing Authority.

The Corporation also administers the Government Employee Housing Plan Act [ 134KB] on behalf of the Yukon Government.
