November is financial literacy month in Canada! Throughout November, organizations and individuals from across the country are invited to participate in events aimed to help Canadians learn how to manage their personal finances successful. This initiative is led by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC).

New Housing Programs
Yukon Housing Corporation is launching 4 new programs that will provide funding to support sustainable and affordable housing throughout Yukon over the next two years.

The funding for these programs comes from the recently announced Social Infrastructure Fund through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. More information, including fact sheets and application forms, is available here.

Front Street Grand Opening
YHC’s newest seniors’ social housing residence was officially opened on March 10 by Premier Darrell Pasloski, Minister Stacey Hassard and YHC Board chair Janet Moodie.
The Front Street residence serves to cost-match a Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation contribution to housing in Yukon of $7.875 million under the Investment in Affordable Housing Agreement.
