Home Repair Program

Low interest rate loan

This program provides homeowners with an opportunity to borrow up to $35,000 to repair their principal residence. A technical officer will assess your home and provide you with a list of eligible repair/upgrade options. Loans under this program are amortized over 12 years at a reduced interest rate.

Call or visit your local Yukon Housing Corporation office to discuss your home repair needs.

Application
Complete an application form (available online or at Yukon Housing Corporation) and submit the required information.

Pre-approval
A program officer will review your application and will contact you.

Home Assessment
Once approved, a technical officer will arrange a site visit and assessment of your home.

Collect Your Quotes
The technical officer will then assist you with reviewing the dwelling assessment and with costing the eligible repair items.

Final Approval
Loan documents will be signed with Yukon Housing Corporation and the work on your home can begin.

Funding the Project
Invoices may be submitted weekly for review and payment approval by the technical officer.

Timeline
You have one year to complete all repairs. Repayment of your loan will commence upon completion.
